If you are training for the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon, no doubt you have some concerns about the swim! Post your questions here (anything Alcatraz related is fair game!).
Tip #1: Wear a full wetsuit. The water is typically in the high 50's to low 60's on race day. You'll want the added warmth and there is a gain in buoyancy from a full sleeved suit. Do practice in your suit though as you'll experience a slight impact to your stroke, not mention a bit more resistance through the upper body.
